Knowing Allah (Ma'rifatullah)

Knowing something properly will allow us to respond it properly. It is important to know Allah properly in order for us to be able to make proper response upon Him. Allah is the name of God to Whom the Moslem worship to. Allah has many names called al-Asma' al-Husna (the good names). Every of His name represents His noble characters, for example Allah introduce Himself as al-Rahiem which means the merciful. Allah posseses three predicates namely rabb (creator, protector), malik (leader, king, the law-maker), and ilah (god). Moslems are required to believe in Allah as the only creator, king and god of the universe. This concept is called tauhid (the Oneness). The principle of faith (tauhid) is absolute in nature. Meaning to say any compromy is not allowed. There are two kinds of trangression against the principle of Islamic faith namely:
1. To reject to believe in Allah (called kufr), and
2. To acknoledge another figure beside Allah (syirk)

Kufr and Syirk are considered as the most serious sin. There is no hope for Kafirun (people who practice 'kufr') and Musyrikun (people who practice 'syirk')in here after.

What can we do to Palestine?

What can we do to Palestine? Well, we can do praying, making diplomation, delivering money, medicines, social workers, etc. Ok, it seems that we can do manything. But what can we do to Israel? NOTHING. Is NOTHING is a correct answer? Yes correct, but verymuch sameful. As moslem having more than 1,3 billion brothers and sisters in all over the world, we should be able to do something to Israel. It is our right to defend ourself and our muslim brothers whenever they were attacked, himiliated, and killed... any where. Becouse muslims are one. Is it enough for us for just making hope that Allah will destroy Israel, while we still do nothing more? Ohh...how weak we are as the best creation!!! May Allah forgive us for doing nothing to Israel.

Islam: Religion of Peace

Islam is religion of peace, is it true? Yes, it's true. If so, how to explain the phenomena of terrorism involving moslem? It's also true that many actors of terrorism are of moslem. But it is too early to make conclusion that there is relationship between Islam and terrorism. Terrorism is definetly not inside the curriculum of Islamic teaching. It is a big mistake to assume that Islam calls the moslem to spread terror. Even if we refer to the world Islam itself, one of the meanings of Islam is peace. It is a sign that Islam calls moslem for creating peace in the world. One of the prophetic mission is to become mercy of the universe (rahmatan lil 'alamien), in other words, moslem have to spread love and mercy to not only human being even upon plants and animals and any member of the universe.
